A New Battle on the Horizon

When life is thorny, we tend to look at God and ask "Why me?" I heard a wise message somewhere that brought up the question, "Why not me?" Why do we always ask God to pass along the bad/hard/sad things that are occurring in our lives? Right now, we feel like we are getting dumped on. And it's not over. We have another family crisis on the horizon. When the involved party allows it, I will share the news.

So today, I sit here thinking that I would love to not be facing these hard things right now. I've had enough of them to fill a memoir and maybe even start a new soap opera. It's crazy. But God has just put that message on my heart again. So I say to you God, thank you for trusting me to go through the hard things in life. May my life be a testament to your goodness and mercy even when my family and I walk through the valley. For you are greater than all the blows that Satan has to deal and we will praise you through it all.

Pray for our family. I'll eventually be sharing this new battle with you. It's not going to be an easy road for the family or the one who will have to fight the battle and we will need all the prayer, love and support that you can give us.

Please know that I am praying. We really need to get together SOON! I am being completely truthful when I say, if you need ANYTHING, please let me know. We don't have many financial resources, but we do have time and energy. We are so glad that God allowed our lives to intersect.
