Our New Church Home

The Sunday before last, Daniel and I decided that it was time to join the church that we've been going to since last July/August. Daniel and I had struggled with finding a church for our family for over a year before we went to the 4th of July that East Pickens put on. We were really impressed that a church would band together to put on this huge event at no cost to the public. All of the folks helping out were super nice and really enjoyed helping out. After some prayer and conversations about some different churches, we decided to try East Pickens. I guess you can tell from the post that we never left!

In addition to having a new church home, Daniel and I have been blessed to make new friends as well. That's a big deal when you move to a new state. Sarah has found a spot that she loves in the children's ministry and goes to Awana. Ashton now has a girlfriend with a mohawk in the nursery. Daniel and I are looking into co-teaching a class with another couple. After being here for a year and a half, we are finally finding our place and it feels good.
